HI, I’M LINDZ!

Lindsey Reddick aka Lindz Redd is a multidisciplinary artist, with their main focus being intricately sculpted and colorfully designed ceramics. Lindz is from California and currently resides in sunny Santa Fe, New Mexico. These artworks are handcrafted with intention and curiosity. Lindz works with many local galleries and shops to provide one of a kind ceramics, and sells both here on their website and in markets across the southwest.

ARTIST STATEMENT

This intricately sculpted and colorfully patterned ceramic work is meant to guide you through a short lore, where the insects and fairies that exist in this space share their compassion and feel compelled to share beauty with their community, and where the viewer feels encouraged to do the same. The surface designs on this work, much like a folklore, guide you through a feeling that is remembered through many bodies and generations. By using plants and fluttering friends as a central theme in this sculpturally-functional work, alongside the funky shapes and colors, it evokes a whimsy and mysterious world that is overgrown in flowers and buzzing with life.

This is a life where our anxieties are forgotten and we are encouraged to express ourselves and uplift others, which is something we often forget to practice in our daily lives. Fairies and other fluttering friends are often found in folklore as something with an ornate beauty and powers that seems untouchable as a human. Throughout these bodies of work, the fairies also represent a genderless and energetically healing reality. Flowers and plants move across these story-telling pots to produce a brightness on even the darkest days. Following these critters through the whimsical realm, the scenes are a reminder to turn to the sunshine and frolic through nature when we are looking for lightness and compassion.
